A laundry treatment machine appliance, e.g. a washing machine or laundry dryer, has an appliance frame (2), a drum mounted rotatingly in the frame (2) via a bearing shaft, and an electromechanical drive (4) driving the drum. The drive (4) consists of a drive part (10), which is connected to the drum torque-lockingly and features a magnetically effective rotor ring (8). The drive also comprises a sector stator (12) which extends only across a sub-sector of the rotor ring (8) periphery. This sub-sector is equal to or less than 80 deg. |
