The device for the evacuation of rubble from a tunneler (1) comprises a screw transporter (10) extending from the front to the rear of the tunneler. It comprises a tubular sheath (11) with a central bore (12) for the passage of a rotating endless screw (13). The sheath comprises front and rear sections supporting the endless screw rotational drive (14) and is provided with rubble evacuation means (35). An intermediate section comprises two section elements each formed by two half shells provided with connections to end sections. Each lower half shell has a wear coating on its internal surface. The rubble evacuation device facilitates maintenance operations and reduce the stoppage time of the tunneler. |
