PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copying machine making an original reference position so as to be arbitrarily set by a user, and to reproduce an image in accordance with the original reference position being set. SOLUTION: This copying machine is allowed so as to arbitrarily set the reference position for setting the original (a) in accordance with the user's request, at one of (left side center), (left front side), (right farthest side) or (right side center), excluding (right front side) on a contact glass 1. Now, in the case the original reference position is set on any one of (right farthest side), (right side center) or (right front side), a position of lens 9 is shifted to the prescribed position in the direction perpendicular to light axes, and read-out starting position of the original is calculated in accordance with the original size. When the read-out of the original is started by respective operation of a first scanner 5 and the second scanner 8, the image formation is started from the calculated read-out starting position. |
