PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable displaying selectively an analog broadcasting video signal and a digital still picture without degrading picture quality by providing a means compressing picture data and storing it, a means restoring compressed data and outputting it, and a means switching video data to restored picture data and outputting it. SOLUTION: A picture storing section 1 data-compresses a still picture of scene and the like data and stores it. A picture reproducing section 2 outputs restored picture data R1, G1, B1, T1, S1 and the like. A selector 3 outputs display data R2, G2, B2, T2, S2 in which video data R, G, B, T, S are switched to restored data R1, G1, B1, T1, S1 at a blanking position of a vertical synchronizing signal V. A picture adjusting section 21 controls brightness, contrast, sharpness, noise reduction and the like of display data R2, G2, B2 by operation, and outputs display data RS, GS, BS, TS, SS after controlling to a display control section 103. |
