<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform quick and accurate setting to a recording start position by storing a tape traveling position at the time of recording end, comparing the tape traveling position of storing means with a traveling position obtained by a tape detecting means at the start of recording and transferring the tape to the traveling position stored in the storing means at a high speed. SOLUTION: At the time of finishing recording, the counter value of the finishing time is stored in a memory 10 and then the process is moved to a stop mode. After monitoring a recorded part, when recording started from a tape position, the counter value stored in the memory 10 is compared with a current counter value by a microcomputer 12 and, when the stored counter value is larger than the current counter value, a movement is made to a proper position by performing a fastforwarding operation and, when no servo control signal is detected, the process is moved to a normal recording mode. When the stored counter value is smaller, the process is quickly moved to recording start.</p> |
