PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outboard engine incorporating a thick pivot shaft, in which the space between left and right bolts can be decreased. SOLUTION: An outboard engine includes a pivot shaft which is attached by means of an upper mount 46 and a lower mount, and an attaching bracket 18 incorporating a support pipe 23 for rotatably supporting the pivot shaft 24. The pivot shaft 24 has a hollow pipe-like shape, having its center insertion part 30 inserted in the support pipe, and a part above the insertion part 30 projected upward from the support pipe so as to form an upper mount attaching part 36 that is formed in its left and right sides with attaching bolt holes which are longitudinally extended, and having its inner surface formed with a part with a crosswise width which is smaller than that of the inner surface of the upper part of the insertion part. |
