The invention concerns a compression stocking made of elastic material comprising a foot portion, a heel and a leg portion. Said stocking is provided with marking means (3, 4) for its positioning in two different positions in the longitudinal direction: in these positions the stocking exerts different types of pressure and pressure profiles on the user's leg. The marking means are preferably formed by a top heel (4) located at a distance from a bottom heel (3) in the longitudinal direction. The stocking can efficiently fulfil the purposes of several standard stockings.
