PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder for nonwoven fabric which hardly emits free formaldehyde. SOLUTION: This binder comprises 1-5 pts.wt. acrylamide-modified polyvinyl alcohol having an acrylamide content of 1-10wt.% and a degree of saponification of 85mol% or higher and 100 pts.wt. N-methylol compd.-ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer comprising 5-30wt.% ethylene units, 0.5-10wt.% N-methylol compd. units comprising N-methylolacrylamide units and/or N-methylolmethacrylamide units, and 60-94.5wt.% vinyl acetate units. |
