PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject agent high having a trichlogenous effect by adding a specific substance selected from substances usually used as constituent ingredients for trichogenous agents to a lower alcohol-water mixture containingα,α-trehalose and a water-soluble polymer. SOLUTION: This trichlorgenous agent is prepared by adding a Swertia japonica extract (0.1-0.5 pt.wt.), hinokitiol (0.01-0.05 pt.wt.), vitamin E acetate (0.1-0.4 pt.wt.), L-menthol (0.02-0.1 pt.wt.), D-pantothenyl alcohol and/or D- pantothenyl ethyl ether (0.01-0.6 pt.wt.),β-glycyrrhetic acid (0.05-0.3 pt.wt.), sodium lauryl sulfate (0.05-0.3 pt.wt.) and nicotinic acid amide (0.05-0.3 pt.wt.) to a lower alcohol (65-80 pts.wt.)-water (20-32 pts.wt.) mixture containingα,α- trehalose (0.3-1.8 pts.wt.) and a water-soluble polymer (0.21-1.8 pts.wt.).
