PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink fountain device capable of rapidly and easily removing the residual ink in an ink fountain. SOLUTION: A long protecting film 15 having a constant width part 15a equal to the width of the bottom surface of an ink fountain and the flap parts 15b provided on both sides of the part 15a is drawn out of a supply roll 16 and wound around a taking-up roll 19 through the ink fountain and the bottom surface 7a and side surface 10a or the ink fountain are covered with the protecting film 15. At a time of the replacement of ink, an ink fountain main body 7 and an ink fountain side plate 10 are retracted to a lower retracted position and the protecting film 15 is taken up to move a part to which the residual ink is bonded to the outside of the ink fountain and a new part is positioned within the ink fountain and, thereafter, the ink fountain main body 7 and the ink fountain side plate 10 are raised to the original operation position to bent the flap parts upwardly by the ink fountain side plate to bond them to the inner surface of the ink fountain side plate. |
