A continuous cutting line (22) runs over at least three sides (10,12,16) of the bag and defines a cut-out surface so that one wall (8) of the bag (2) can be detached along the cutting line from the three sides, and folded back against the fourth side (14), thus providing easy access to the contents of the bag. The cutting line is formed by a perforation or tear-thread, and is situated preferably 2 to 5 centimetres away from the transition between the fold-over wall and the three or four sides. At least in one part, an access opening (20), is defined by the cutting line. A carrying handle (18) is formed on the top fold of the bag.
