<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compensate fluctuation in an assist forbidden action point of an electric motor to a steering torque in the left/right direction even in a case of deviating a center value by providing a direction forbidding means with a reference value change means for changing an operation reference value in the left/right direction responding to the deviation in the center value. SOLUTION: A center value correcting means 21 is provided with a conversion means and outputs a clockwise steering torque and a counterclockwise steering torque as a torque detection output T0 of a unipolar voltage value based on electric steering torque signals TS1 , TS2 detected by the steering torque sensor 12. The center value correcting means 21 is provided with a center value storage means and a subtracting means, stores the center value, outputs the torque detection output T0 based on the center value, and when the center value is deviated due to some reason, the deviated center value is stored as a new center value and the new deviated value is corrected into a nominal value 2.5V so as to output the torque detection output T0 .</p> |
