PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a foamed body, having a delayed shape recovering property and hardly deteriorating the shape recovering property even when allowed to stand in a shrunk state in a high-temperature atmosphere for a long period. SOLUTION: A raw material foamed body is exposed to an atmosphere at a temp. between 30 deg.C and (the glass transition temperature of a resin forming the raw material foamed body)+150 deg.C for 5sec to 300min and then compressed ant shrunk to provide a shape recovering foamed body. Furthermore, a primary foamed body prepared by expanding a raw material resin having a cross-linking degree without inhibiting the expansion at the time of expansion is exposed to electron beam orγ-rays to further cross-like the raw material resin. Thereby, a raw material foamed body is obtained and then compressed and shrunk to afford the shape-recovering foamed body. |
