PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly transmit/receive picture data and to watch received image data for sufficient time by externally displaying an extended image, for which compressed image data stored in a date storage part are extended by an image extending function, on a television monitor. SOLUTION: A control signal stored in the memory of automatic compressed image transmitting means 8 at a host computer G1 and received from a MO DEM M1 of terminal equipment 1 through a public telephone circuit G2 is received by the computer G1, stored image data are transmitted from a transmitting means 8 corresponding to the contents of control signal, and they are reported to the side of terminal. On the side of terminal equipment 1, this signal is reported through the MODEM M11 to a DSP centralized control part C1, extension corresponding to compression conditions is performed by an image extending function C7 and afterwards, image data are sent to a video output image processing means E1. At the means E1, these data are stored in a frame memory E2, converted as video output data and outputted to a V terminal E3 and on a television monitor E4, the converted images can be watched. |
