摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate an electrical short circuits caused by mounting a bump so as to heighten the reliability of operation, by forming an etching slant face serving as the light reflecting surface, at an Si cover used for airtight sealing, and reflecting the received light from an optical fiber by the light reflecting surface to receive it with a light receiving element. SOLUTION: An etching slant face 25 serving as the light reflecting surface is formed at an Si cover 24 used to airtightly seal an optical parts mounting part. Optical fibers 26 are mounted in an aligned state in a V-groove 27 firmed at an Si substrate 20 and positioned by making the fiber tips butt against the wall surface of a dicing groove 28 formed at the substrate 20. The optical fibers 26 are further held down from above by a V-groove formed at the cover 24. In this case, receive light emitted from the optical fiber 26 is reflected by the etching slant face 25 if the cover 24 and received by a light receiving part 23 of a light receiving element 22. The light receiving element 22 can thereby be arranged while being fixed at the back face, and the reflecting surface can be arranged in an opposed position to the light receiving element 22, so that the light receiving element 22 can be mounted without using a bump.
