PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To flexibly cope with the protection of copyright by separating service information from multiply transmitted information based on ID information, recording them while adding a specific indentification ID and a first dummy packet to them in accordance with the data rate of a recording and reproducing device and restoring the information while eliminating the first dummy packet at the time of reading the information to enable the restricting of the number of readouts of recorded information. SOLUTION: This device is constituted by adding a function recording and reproducing the multiply transmitted information prior to be inputted to a separated information restoring means after processing digital demodulation, error correction and so forth into a first recording and reproducing device 205. Desired service information separated in a multiply transmitted information separating circuit 201 based on ID information are inserted with a first dummy packet having a specific identification ID different from the ID information of the packet of information to be recorded with a first dummy packet inserting circuit 202 to be recorded in the device 205. Moreover, the replacing of the identification ID of the packet is also performed in the circuit 201 with respect to information of the packet to be recorded. |
