PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decompose efficiently ethanolamine without being inhibited by hydrazine by treating wastewater with microbe to decompose ethanolamine and then removing residual hydrazine. SOLUTION: Ethanolamine-containing wastewater (a) containing hydrazine is stored in a storage tank 1 and then introduced into a mixing tank 2. Then, pH is adjusted by adding a neutralizer (b), and a nourishment source (c) is added into the wastewater and mixed therein. Then, the mixed solution (d) is introduced into an aeration tank 3, and mixed into a microbe solution containing hydrazine-resistant Pseudomonas sp. ETA-1 as dominant strain and also aeration-mixed. Ethanolamine is decomposed into carbon dioxide gas, water and ammonium ions in the aeration tank 3, and simultaneously a part of hydrazine is also decomposed into nitrogen. Treated water after reaction is introduced into a precipitation tank 4, and supernatant liquid (h) is separated and introduced into a reaction tank 5, and hydrazine is decomposed into nitrogen gas and water by the aeration treatment under the presence of copper ions.
|
