PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high capacity lithium secondary battery by preventing the deterioration of positive electrode active material. SOLUTION: In a lithium secondary battery in which a sheet-like positive electrode 1 and a sheet-like negative electrode 2 are faced to each other via a separator 3, the sheet-like positive electrode is formed of a conductive base body, and a coating film which is made on the conductive base body and contains at least positive electrode active material and a binder. As the binder, at least polytetrafluoroethylene and a vinylidene fluoride copolymer which is obtained by copolymerizing a fluorine-containing monomer group containing vinylidene fluoride as a main component monomer and unsaturated dibasic acid monoester. As the ratio of both sides in the binder, it is preferable that the polytetrafluoroethylene is 5 to 95 percentage by weight and the vinylidene fluoride copolymer is 5 to 95 percentage by weight. |
