New system of card management, including reading and writing of data, based on photovoltaic remote powering and on data exchange via optical channels (by means of infrared or visible radiation). Accordingly, the proposed system confers mobility, portability and autonomy upon the cards (contact or not), enabling their remote operation. The system consists of a case, holder or device 1, that enables the insertion of the card 3 when it is needed to operate remotely and it communicates with a remote base station 2, communicating with a control unit 4.
