摘要 A low voltage is applied to the resistance layer with a high current strength, with a voltage of 5-15 V and a current <= 1000 amp. Also claimed is an assembly where an extremely thin resistance layer (5) is applied in a serpentine shape on the side of the carrier plate (4) towards the workpiece (3). The resistance layer (5) is covered by a protective layer (6) and a covering contact layer (7). The side of the carrier plate (4) away from the workpiece (3) has one or more insulation zones (2) with distance pieces (15). The protective layer (6) is a plastics with thermal conductivity and high proof against electrical puncture, of silicon rubber or epoxy resin with additives to increase the thermal conductivity, or it is of loosely woven or knitted polyester monofilaments. The contact surface (7) is of metal or a heat resistant plastics. A number of thermoelements (10) are in the resistance layer (5) and/or near it and/or in the contact layer (7). Each has two heating wires (11,12) twisted together at one end, bonded at the twisted ends into homogenous and thin surfaces (13) by cold press welding, thinner than the wire thickness.
