The setting and locking actuator includes a piston-cylinder unit able to be pressurised by working fluid, with a two-way cylinder (10) and a fixed piston rod (14). The cylinder can move along the piston rod. It can be locked in the end positions. There is a connecting element to set this element. The piston rod has a longitudinal boring (24) which can be pressurised by the working fluid. It contains at least one switching cylinder (26,28) which can be moved axially against the force created by the working fluid by a first spring element (34,36).
