The compressor has a housing (1,3,4) with compression chamber (48) and feed pressure chamber (12). A valve plate (2) between the chambers has a coolant outlet (14) to permit the passage of coolant gas from the compression to the feed pressure chamber. The outlet is opened/closed by a valve (16). The valve has an associated valve stop (17) to maintain constant the max. opening size of the valve. Stop and/or valve plate has an outlet (30,31) for the removal of foreign bodies. Two outlets are positioned opposite to each other, and the outlet in the valve plate has a ring groove (30)>
