PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-grade light emitting device whose display time can be lengthened with simple constitution and which does not cause bleeding of the light between individual cells to emit the light, and a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: A transparent electrode 21 by a transparent electrode material such as an ITO is formed on a surface of a transparent substrate 1 such as glass, quartz and resin, and a back plate 18 is formed so as to be opposed to this transparent electrode 21. A light emitting layer 19 composed of an organic EL material by a hole transport material 16, an electron transport material 17 and the other light emitting material, is laminated between the transparent electrode 21 and the back plate 18, and this light emitting layer 19 is insulated with respective light emitting units. The transparent electrode 21 and the back plate 18 are connected to a conductive means such as an external conductive pattern and a driving device so that an electric current can be carried with respective light emitting units. |
