PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with even short segments without reducing the processing speed by taking other edge points as points in a prescribed nearby area in vertical and horizontal directions with an attentional edge point as a center. SOLUTION: In a DC component detection part, a parameter of Hough transformation of a line passing a noticed edge point (x1, y1) and another edge point (x2, y2) on the X-Y plane of a picture is obtained by transformation formulas θ= atan((x1-x2)/(y1-y2)) and =x1cosθ+y1sinρ. Only one point is voted to a pixel corresponding to (θ, ρ), and a voting form based on combinational Hough transformation which detects a line existing on the X-Y plane by the number of votes on the ρ-θ parameter space is adopted; and thereafter, restrictions are put on the voting range where another edge point (x2, y2) is taken as a point in a prescribed nearby area in the vertical and horizontal directions with the attentional edge point (x1, y2) as a center. |
