Holder for ground-anchor during installation

The holder (1) secures the anchor tension-member during installation, the anchor bore formed in the ground being lined by an outer tube (2). The anchor is formed by pressure from a body in stages, the tube being extracted in parallel stages, while the holder presses the member into the body. A piston contains an axial through passage (3), which can be shut by a valve (4). The piston dimensions match those of the tube, in which it slides, largely or entirely sealing it off in the process. The valve can be operated by pressure, its opening pressure being near that used for installation. Seals can be provided at the piston periphery, being typically pressure-operated. At the end towards the tension-member the piston can be sealed by a holding disc (12).
