PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant thermoplastic resin composition and its molded article self-extinguishable without causing dripping, having a high reliability of flame-retardancy and excellent mold-releasability in molding and causing little deterioration of the physical properties of the molded article. SOLUTION: This flame-retardant thermoplastic resin composition is composed of (A) 100 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic resin, (B) 5-60 pts.wt. of a halogen- based flame-retardant, (C) 3-20 pts.wt. of a flame-retarding assistant, (D) 0.5-10 pts.wt. of a silicone and (E) 5-30 pts.wt. of magnesium hydroxide. The magnesium hydroxide has a specific surface area of 1-20m<2> /g measured by BET method and an average secondary particle diameter of 0.2-6.0μm measured by micro-tracking method. |
