The invention refers to a liquid or semi-liquid product applicator on a surface, said applicator being of longitudinal sensible form comprising a central core (10) defining a porous structure for permitting a charge by internal capillarity of said applicator; and a fringe trimming coating (11) placed around the central core (10) on at least a part of its longitude for securing a charge by external capillarity of said applicator. The invention equally refers to an application set that uses an applicator in accordance with the invention. Application in cosmetic products.
