The method and the device are used in electronics formonitoring the authenticity, fitness, appearance and quantity ofsecurities, such as banknotes, for example. By the methodcapacitative relation is sought between a transmitter and receiveras a result of conducting of protection strips, bands, fibres,sports, etc. which are specially shifted in such a way that incase of connection they initiate phase- and amplitude modulatedsignal which is recognized and identified. The device contains ahigh frequency transmitter (12) with a transmission aerial (8),receiver (13) with a receiving aerial (9) connected to anamplifier (14), integrator (15), flip-flop (18), waitingmultivibrator (17) and light curtains (20).
