PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To unnecessitate obtaining and storing a sensitivity and the position of a lens at the end of storing each range finding point, and to reduce the processing amount and the storage amount even in a focus detector provided with many range finding points. SOLUTION: Before the start of storing by a sensor installed on a focus detecting means, information on a driving velocity at the time of focusing, information on the sensitivity before the storage and information on the rate of the change in the sensitivity are respectively obtained, then, based on each piece of information and the storage time of each range finding point, information on the sensitivity at the storage center in operation of storing is obtained, and also. The position of the optical system at the storage center is obtained, and then, focusing information is calculated (#104 to #110, #113 and #114). |
