PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effect a high-precision shaping of a contoured area by scanning a ray along the contour of a shaping area by a predetermined distance inside the contour and raster scanning the shaping area by a predetermined distance that is greater than the predetermined distance inside the contour. SOLUTION: A position OLA which is inside a contour position OL obtained by a contour detecting portion by a predetermined distance r1 is computed as locus information by a contour setting information extracting portion. This locus information is outputted to an optical system controller and a vector scanning is carried out along a contour. On the other hand, an internal area information detecting portion extracts information on a closed area a predetermined distance r2 inside the contour position OL obtained by the contour detecting portion. Then, this information is outputted to the optical system controller, whereby a raster scanning is executed relative to the inside of the closed area surrounded by the contour.
