<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retainer device for an axial piston machine which prevents a shoe from tilting in respect to a swash plate. SOLUTION: A retainer device 20 has a shoe plate 50 having a circumferentially outer side part 58 and an inner side part 56. An energizing force transmitting surface is formed on one side of the circumferentially outer side part 58, and plural openings are penetratingly formed therethrough. The energizing force transmitting surface shows truncated conical shape substantially before assembling. When force is applied to the inner side part 56 of the shoe plate 50 by means of an energizing mechanism 48 in assembling, the truncated conical transmitting surface is deformed, and brought into close contact with supporting surfaces 38 of a shoe 32.</p> |
