PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easier, more precise, and low-cost manufacture by providing a common substrate which has an oblique groove and guide grooves, forming the guide groove so that groove axes of >=2 optical fiber do not match each other, and arranging a filter, etc., at an optical path position in the oblique groove. SOLUTION: On the top surface of the common substrate 5, the guide grooves 51 and 52 for installing optical fibers 1 and 2 and the oblique groove 4 are formed. The optical fibers 1 and 2 are so installed that the end surfaces 11 and 21 on the side of the oblique groove 4 match flanks 41 and 42 of the oblique groove 4. The end surface 11 of the optical fiber 1 is slanted, so light which is projected from the end surface 11 is refracted and travels at a certain angle. To receive the traveling refracted light, the optical fiber 2 is installed shifting from the optical fiber 1 relatively at right angles to the optical axis. A wavelength filter 31 is installed on the end surface 21 of the optical fiber 2. Consequently, the optical fibers 1 and 2 and wavelength filter 31 can be installed without troublesome position adjustment. |
