PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cleansing agent containing a polyglutamic acid hydrolase especiallyγ-polyglutamic acid (hereinafterγ-PGA) dehydrogenase, and capable removingγ-PGA having been difficult to cleanse or clean. SOLUTION: This cleansing agent contains a polyglutamic acid hydrolase, especially aγ-PGA dehydrogenase. Theγj-PGA dehydrogenase is preferably originated from a microorganism having an ability to produce the enzyme, e.g. a bacterium belonging to the genus Bacillus, especially preferably Bacillus subtilis. Theγ-PGA hydrolase is preferably combined with a component such as a surfactant so as to give a pH of 3-11 when dissolved. The concentration of the addedγ-PGA hydrolase is preferably 0.001-5.0wt.% based on the composition.
