The pallet consists of a platform (1) standing on four feet (4), and a folding back frame (2) which is hinged to one side of the platform and deploys vertically in two sections to support articles standing on the pallet. The deployable frame hinges have slots to receive a transverse bar which locks the frame in the vertical position, and its uprights (9) are equipped with handles (16) for ease of operation. In addition the platform has strips (30) of a softer material to avoid damaging the edges of the articles being carrier.
