Methods and apparatus for continuously forming thin-gauge flexible foam sheeting by controlling the rise of an expanding foam-forming mixture (3) until the reaction is substantially complete. The foam-forming mixture is cast onto a continuously conveyed first facing material (31), after which a second facing material (32) is applied to the foam-forming mixture, forming a sandwich. Dispersing means (33) squeeze the sandwich and evenly distribute the mixture between facing sheets. Rise of the foam is controlled by maintaining a gap between a multiplicity of pairs of upper rollers (42) and lower rollers (43).
