Date Oct. 5, 1995Technology for treating industrial and domestic waste which can be applied in the chemical industry as well as in the power generation sector as a way of using plastic and polymer waste. The method involves: melting down the plastic waste in an atomsphere of superheated steam and thermal destruction of the waste at a temperature of 400 DEG -500 DEG C. on a multi-layered inert material whose particles diminish in size, layer by layer in the direction of flow of the melt, from 3.83 to 0.12 mm; and the removal and condensation of the gaseous products.
