PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pendant-type luminaire which can avoid the use of a balancer by arranging a plurality of auxiliary light sources on an upper side of a luminaire body to ensure a horizontal balance thereby. SOLUTION: This pendant-type luminaire is provided with a luminaire body 30 hung down with a power source code 20 which houses a lighting circuit in the interior thereof, and a main light source 36 which is mounted on the under side of the body 30. The main light source 36 shown in the Fig. is a toroidal fluorescent lamp. The luminaire is provided with a plurality of auxiliary light sources 32 mounted on an upper peripheral part of the body 30. The auxiliary light sources 32 are small-sized incandescent electric bulbs. Each of the auxiliary light sources 32 and their sockets 34 are arranged so that the angular moment thereof around the power source code 20 becomes unbalanced, yet the angular moment of whole fixture including a combination of these members is balanced and thus the body 30 is held horizontally. |
