The device (10) has a main body (12) which is fastened to the wall of the sanitary fitting and which has a through-opening (13). A metallic or heat resistant plastics adaptor (14), is insertably fitted to the main body and has a through hole (24) and a connection area (18) which is accessible from the outside. A shutter (16.1) is also provided on top of the adaptor and it encompasses a connection area (20) at its underside so that it is permanently or detachably connected to the adaptor.
