PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily an safely obtain the subject compound at low cost and safely without using a Lewis acid by reacting an acyloxyazetidinone with a magnesium enolate. SOLUTION: This cyclohexylazetidinone derivative (C) shown by formula III is obtained by reacting (A) (3R,4R)-4-acyloxy-3-((1R)-1-hydroxyethyl)-2-azeti dinone shown by formula I (R<1> is a protective group for hydroxyl; and R<2> is an acyl) with (B) a magnesium enolate shown by formula II (X is a halogen). A preferable method to produce the component B reacts (2S)-2- methoxycyclohexanone shown by formula IV with a Grignard reagent in the presence of a base, or with a product of a reaction between a base and Grignard reagent. The component C thus produced can be used as an intermediate for synthesis of a tricyclic β-lactam. |
