<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remarkably improve the adhesion power of a ball surface and a coating film by using a surface treating agent consisting essentially of a specific silane coupling agent as a surface treating agent. SOLUTION: The surface of the golf ball before coating is treated by using the surface treating agent consisting essentially of the silane coupling agent expressed by (RO)a -Si-(X)b . In the formula, R denotes an alkyl group, X denotes a substd. or unsubstd. univalent hydrocarbon group, a, b denote an integer from 1 to 3, a+b=4, X may be the same as or different from each other if b is >=2. As a result, a high interaction is rendered between the golf ball surface and the resin components. Since the group expressed by X of the silane coupling agent has the excellent affinity to the respective resin components constituting the coating film, the adhesion power of the golf ball surface before coating and the coating film is remarkably improved.</p> |
