The processor has an input (1) to a mixer downconvertor (2). An auxiliary signal is added to the mixer by a narrow frequency band noise generator (91) and a phase modulator (92). The signals are processed (3) at baseband with digital and analogue processing sections. The processed signal is upconverted (4) and the auxiliary signal phase demodulated (94) to produce a modified output signal for reduced unwanted responses.
