Direct reduction of fine ores with wide distribution of particle sizes
摘要
Direct reduction of fine ores with a broad spectrum of particle sizes using H2 as a reduction gas in a horizontal fluid-bed channel comprises: (a) feeding ore under an excess pressure into the fluid bed channel which is separated into chambers (2); (b) heating of the ore in the first chamber; (c) the fluidisation velocity of the gas is the highest in the first chamber, and diminishes from chamber to chamber so that specified particle fractions are taken out of these chambers with the gas; (d) separating these fractions from the gas and feeding into the successive chambers; (e) subjecting the gases from all chambers are to a final particle gas separation process; (f) feeding the ore particles separated in this process into the final chamber of the fluid bed channel; and (g) transferring the ore fractions left in the individual chambers after completion of the reduction process under pressure for further processing. Also claimed is the installation used for carrying out this process.
