Domestic boiler for heating water

The water heating boiler has a horizontal array of heating pipes (2) which take the burner gasses from the front of the burner (1) to the rear of the boiler and into the exhaust. The cold water inlet (6) runs into the top of the water tank and enters the heating chamber via spatially aligned openings (7). The openings ensure that the cold flow reaches the ends of the pipes with coolest gasses while hot water is extracted (8) near the front of the boiler. The inlet chamber covers 80 percent of the length of the boiler and the cold water runs down in the water jacket surrounding the burner to mix with rising warm water. The larger part of the cold water input flow is through the centre of the boiler, where the density of openings is greater than at either end of the boiler.
