A stackable paint roller tray (10) having a sloping bottom (5) and a deep well (6) containing paint, for roller insertion and uniform coating of paint roller with paint. Narrow based troughs (8), adapted for accommodation of paint brushes, depend from the rear wall of the tray, adjacent the deep well, and are spaced therefrom to permit stacked nesting. The paint brush troughs are slopingly narrowed to permit the stacked nesting while also accommodating a major portion of a brush. The external end wall of each trough is provided with an indentation (96) for the secure cradling of the brush handle.
