PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect brittle carbon fibers during execution and prevent the early breakage of a single fiber by introducing the minimum quantity of a belt material cast into the gap of a twist yarn cord of carbon fibers by a specific unit quantity. SOLUTION: A belt 10 is provided with a main body 12 made of a belt material of cast urethane, and belt teeth 14 are formed at the pitch P on the main body 12. The belt teeth 14 are covered with abrasion-resistant canvas 16 arranged along the peripheral surface of the belt teeth 14. A tensile member 18 made of a spirally twisted cord is buried in the belt main body 12. The cord contained in the tensile member 18 is made of carbon fibers, and the quantity of the belt material to be introduced for sufficient infiltration into the gap of the cord in the casting process is set to at least about 0.21mg for the gap of the cord at the unit cord length (mm) and unit cord volume (mm<3> ). The belt life performance can be improved. |
