PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal connecting position information collecting method and a system device in which a gateway exchange instructs an information collecting exchange to access a database by utilizing an existing call connecting interface and which makes the gateway exchange collect position information of a terminal that is acquired as a result of the access. SOLUTION: Instruction information 51 which instructs the acquisition of the position information of a PHS terminal 41 that is made connection request by a gate exchange 11 and the position information 52 of the terminal 41 which is acquired through the information 51 can be inserted into an existing call connecting interface 50. A gateway exchange 11 inserts the information 51 into the interface 50 and connects to an information collecting exchange 17, the exchange 17 accesses a database 13, inserts position information of the terminal 41 that is acquired from the database 13 and returns it to the exchange 11, and the exchange 11 connects to the terminal 41 via exchanges 14 and 15 based on the position information.
