<p>The present invention relates to a golf club having a head assembly (10) comprising a body member (12), a ball striking member (14) and impact absorbing means (16). The ball striking member (14) is moveably coupled to the body member (12) with the impact absorbing means (16) disposed therebetween. The impact absorbing means of one example consists of four helical springs (16). In use, an exposed surface of the ball striking member (14) strikes a golf ball and is able to move relative to the body member (12), said relative movement being dictated by the impact absorbing means (16) which thus partly absorbs the impact force between the ball striking member (14) and the golf ball.</p> |
