Signalling lamp for car

A signalling lamp like a high-level brake lamp or a separate flasher lamp on a car is located on a component of the car. A coating (8) is provided over the lamp (1) and/or the component (6) with which, when the lamp is switched off, a homogeneous overall impression of the component is given. The coating has a colour and/or shape which matches the component and is a metal-coated plastic foil or a plastic-coated metal foil. Where it covers the lamp, it is transparent or has transparent regions. The coating is on the outside of the lamp. The lamp contains LEDs. The component is a decorative strip.
