PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a failure such as an abnormal image and the surface deterioration of a developer carrier and a developer regulation member occurring because of the aggregation of toner caused when a developing device is used over a long term. SOLUTION: This developing device is provided with the developer carrier 12 rotated at a developing time so as to carry and feed developer and to develop electrostatic latent image and the developer regulation member 15 rotated in an identical direction to the carrier 12 so as to thin the layer of the developer on the carrier 12. Besides, the device is provided with a means rotating the regulation member 15 in a reverse direction to the developing time and discharging the aggregation of the developer caused in the developing device to the outside thereof. |
