PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which can reproduce several thousands of song accompaniment together with a background screen with a single compact disk of video and song accompaniment by reading selected data from the compact disk according to address information to generate a music accompaniment signal and a background screen signal matching with its song word atmosphere. SOLUTION: A selected number is transmitted to a controller 146, the controller 146 refers to a music index table, reads out start address information of the selected song therefrom and transmits it to a main controller 124. The main controller 124 reads the associated music song based on the address, and saves it in a system memory 148 in a CD-OK format by means of a CD-ROM decoder 142. The controller 146 then refers to a sequence table of background screen and saves two-background screen information in a video memory 162. The controller reads out word data associated with the music song, superimposes it on the background screen, and displays it through a video selector 174.
